Blake at Prior Lake
7 p.m., Saturday, May 20

Prior Lake, ranked third in the Minnesota Girls' Lacrosse Coaches Association poll, meets No. 2 Blake on Saturday and will attempt to deal the Bears their first loss to an in-state team this season. The matchup could also be a prequel to the state semifinals, as both teams figure to be seeded for the tournament.

The Lakers’ lone loss of the season was to top-ranked Eden Prairie in an 18-6 decision on May 6, the only game Prior Lake (8-1, 6-0) has allowed double-digit goals this season.

Sarah Pierson leads the Lakers' scoring charge, tallying 26 goals and five assists through nine games this spring.

Blake suffered a 13-12 loss to Lyons Township (Illinois) on May 6 in a game that the Bears (8-1, 2-0) have used as motivation for the latter half of this season. Blake bounced back this week with a 18-0 victory over Minnehaha Academy.

Shannon Ellis has emerged late in the season, scoring 10 goals in her past two games for the Bears.
