Farmington at Apple Valley
5:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 16

With both teams boasting only one loss on the year, No. 6 Farmington and No. 4 Apple Valley are two of the state’s top teams. They'll collide on Tuesday in a South Suburban Conference matchup.

The Tigers have plenty of firepower to match the Eagles, particularly in seniors Kamryn Corraro (37-12-49) and Ashley Steffes (26-28-54). Farmington (9-1, 5-1) showed its offensive prowess by netting 10 first-half goals in its 14-10 win against Eastview last Thursday, but it will need to put together a complete game to stick with Apple Valley.

All-Americans Reagan Roelofs (36-18-54) and Molly Moynihan (34-14-48) are the Eagles' (8-1, 5-1) 1-2 punch on offense and have proven deadly, as Apple Valley has averaged 16.8 goals per game this season.

Both teams have plenty of able scorers outside of their star players, with six runners on each roster posting double-digit goals. The game will likely come down to which team can make the most defensive stops.
