East Ridge vs.

Lakeville South

7:30 p.m., Thursday, April 19

East Ridge will have a fresh look this season, after losing its top four offensive players and goalie to graduation or transfer.

Junior Katie Flynn is the top returning cog in the Raptors offense and seems well positioned to take a central role after scoring 21 goals last season.

On the other side of the field, either sophomore Allison Colberg or eighth grader Taylor Miles will take over goaltending duties and will have a chance to prove their mettle against a Lakeville South offense also looking to find its way.

The Cougars lost much of their scoring, but return two double-digit scorers in Jenna Hayes (18 goals) and Sam Duncan (14 goals). Hayes also contributed 14 assists last season.

After missing out on the state tournament for the first time since 2013 last season, Lakeville South could use a win against East Ridge to give the young Cougars confidence and the first stepping stone towards returning to state.
