St. Cloud Area vs. Rocori

6 p.m., Friday, May 4

In one of the more circumstantially unique matchups the weather has constructed this season, St. Cloud Area and Rocori will be playing their second game in two days against each other.

Last season, the Tigers knocked the Spartans out of the Section 8 tournament with a 16-9 victory, so Thursday's game could be about revenge for Rocori, but the real test for both teams will be how well they implement adjustments in a single day.

St. Cloud (2-0, 1-0) has flipped the result on its opening pair of games from last year and will be looking to go on a winning run before meeting last year's Greater West Metro Conference champion Hutchinson on May 5.

Rocori is in its second season in the Minnesota State High School League and is still looking for its first win. The Spartans (0-2) were able to keep a number of games close last year, and with a number of players returning after a year of experience, Rocori will have plenty of opportunities to pick up some wins this season.
