Benilde-St. Margaret's vs. Bloomington Jefferson

6 p.m., Tuesday, May 22

The race for the Metro West Conference crown is coming down to the last week of the regular season, with Benilde-St. Margaret's and Bloomington Jefferson still in striking distance of league-leading Chanhassen.

The Red Knights (5-6, 4-1) have had a difficult regular season outside of conference play, but can still secure a league title by defeating the Jaguars and getting lots of help to close the gap on Chanhassen in the standings. A victory Tuesday also gives Benilde-St. Margaret's momentum heading into the Section 5 tournament.

Maria DeCesare (24-6-30) leads the Red Knights on the attack and will need to turn in an excellent performance to keep pace with a potent Bloomington Jefferson offense.

The Jaguars (10-1, 3-1) have three conference games in the last week of the regular season, giving them a chance to overtake Chanhassen in the standings should the Storm slip in their final two conference games.

Rachel Graff (43-14-57) leads No. 10 Bloomington Jefferson in goals, while Julia Jones has kept the offense ticking with 27 assists. The Jaguars have scored at least 12 goals in all but one game this season, a testament to the offensive leadership of Graff and Jones.
