Chanhassen vs. Minnetonka

5:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 16

Section rivals and traditional powers Chanhassen and Minnetonka meet in a season opener that could also double as a potential postseason preview.

Chanhassen, which averaged 12.7 goals per game last season, used an 11-7 victory last year in the Section 2 semifinals to end Minnetonka's season. Scoring will be a question the No. 5-ranked Storm need to answer following the graduation of team's top two goal scorers, but Elle Wagner looks primed to do her part, returning to anchor the offense after tallying 22 goals in 13 games.

Minnetonka looks to navigate the difficult waters of the Lake Conference and dock atop the standings after posting a 4-4 record in league play a year ago.

One player to watch this season will be Minnie Bittell, who is coming off a junior year in which she led the Skippers with 37 points in 12 games.
