St. Thomas Academy vs. East Ridge

12:30 p.m., Saturday, May 18

St. Thomas Academy didn't pass a big-time test last Saturday, falling to No. 2 Stillwater 16-7, but the No. 9 Cadets have a chance to make the grade against another top-end Suburban East Conference opponent when they face East Ridge this Saturday.

Saturday's loss was the first of the season for St. Thomas Academy (8-1, 5-0). Senior attackman Luke Williams has been a major contributor in the Cadets' red-hot start, hitting the 30-goal mark on the year when he scored four times in an 18-0 win against Henry Sibley on May 9.

Facing a top-10 opponent is nothing new for East Ridge, which has a 1-2 record against ranked opponents this season. The No. 7 Raptors (6-2, 4-1) defeated Eagan 7-6 and lost to Stillwater and No. 3 Benilde-St. Margaret's in April.

To get that record to .500, the Raptors will likely rely on their top scorers this season: seniors Jack Mohler and Isaac Edwards, who have combined for 39 goals and 25 assists.
