Hill-Murray vs. Forest Lake

7:15 p.m., Wednesday, May 22

Hill-Murray experienced its first defeat of the season on May 17, falling to rival Mahtomedi and ending a 10-games winning streak. The Pioneers aim to return to their winning ways with two games against Suburban East Conference teams this week, including one on Wednesday against a Forest Lake program that has been rolling.

The Pioneers (10-1, 7-1) boast one of the state's best offenses this season, averaging 16 goals per game with Caitlin O'Gary, Emily Senkowski, Lorelai VanGuilder, Jacey Germundson and Brooke Tjernlund each scoring 20 or more goals.

Forest Lake, a favorite to contend for a Section 7 title along with fellow one-loss contender Champlin Park, has won five straight since losing 13-8 against Stillwater on May 2. And that's in large part because of its offense, which has put up nearly 14 goals per game.

The Rangers (9-1, 6-1) have been led by the efforts of 20-goal scorers Taylor Glumack and Bailey O'Donovan.
