Rosemount vs. Edina

2 p.m., Saturday, May 8

The wrecking ball that is Haley Reeck has scored six, five, six, four and five goals in Edina’s five games this season, totals that on their own would have been enough to carry the Hornets, who have allowed just 17 goals, to victory in all but one of their games.

Meanwhile, Rosemount, No. 6 in the coaches' association rankings from April 26, has faced a gauntlet of an early season schedule that included matchups with No. 3 Lakeville South, high-powered Apple Valley/Burnsville and, most recently, No. 7 Benilde-St. Margaret's, which the Irish topped 7-6 on Friday.

Juniors Emma Duchscherer and Ava Whelan lead a balanced group of scorers for Rosemount (4-1), which, like Edina (5-0), has never reached a state tournament. Reeck, No. 1 Edina’s career scoring leader, has 26 goals to rank in a tie for fifth in the state.
