Edina vs. Eden Prairie

7:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 4

Both Edina and Eden Prairie are uber-ambitious when it comes to scheduling, adding as many high-powered opponents as possible from multiple talent-laden conferences throughout the metro. But the season’s most highly anticipated game for both teams is almost always this one between the neighboring Lake Conference rivals.

Seniors Drew Hatch (17 goals) and Max Nelsen (12 goals) lead the offense for Edina, No. 2 in coaches' association rankings from April 27. The Hornets started the season 5-0 before suffering their first loss, a 6-5 setback to Bloomington Jefferson on Saturday.

Eden Prairie (5-1) is coming off Friday’s 11-8 victory over Maple Grove. Senior Will Foster is among the top holdovers from the 2019 Eagles squad that finished third in the state. Fun fact: the No. 3 Eagles have played in six state title games, winning two of them.
