7:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 18

Owatonna has been mostly unbeatable this spring against southern Minnesota competition grouped into the Big 9 Conference. St. Cloud, in turn, has been one of this season’s dominant teams in representing the area mostly just northwest of the Twin Cities — labeled the Greater West Metro Conference.

So here we go with something of a north-south showdown between teams driven by potent offenses that have combined for four losses entering the week.

Owatonna (8-2, 6-1), which has outscored its opponents 126-66 this season, features a trio of 20-plus goal scorers in Zack Kirsch (33), Caleb Belting (29) and Preston Meier (26).

St. Cloud (7-2, 3-1) has a 101-58 scoring advantage over its opponents, and has two 20-goal scorers in Joe Torborg (25) and Connor Harens (23).
