Top Performer winners

Lauren Distad, Roseville. The midfielder registered 13 points in two games last week. She had four goals and two assists in a 12-6 loss to Forest Lake on April 23, then turned in a seven-goal game in Roseville's 13-6 victory at Woodbury on April 25. Distad is tied for fourth in the state with 24 goals this season.

Madelyn Huebner, Buffalo. Back-to-back 13-save outings by Huebner led the charge defensively in Buffalo's 2-0 record for the week. She finished the week with a .722 save percentage, and Huebner's four wins on the season tie her for second-most in the state among goaltenders.

Top performer candidates

Emily Geiss, Andover. The senior had two big performances in net — helping Andover to a 2-1 record on the week. Geiss made 12 saves in an 8-7 win against Osseo/Park Center on April 22. Two days later, she kept out 15 shots as her team fell 8-4 Maple Grove. Geiss finished the week with a six-save performance in a 14-2 win over Anoka.

Julia Jones, Bloomington Jefferson. With 10 points in two games, Jones fueled Bloomington Jefferson to two wins last week. She tallied four goals and an assist in a 19-4 win over Chaska on April 25. Jones scored five more goals the next day to help the Jaguars defeat Eastview 15-3. Her 25 goals this season rank third in the state.

Kacie Riggs, Eden Prairie. Riggs continued her good form this season, scoring 16 points in three games last week. Her peak performance came on April 25 at Edina, where she had four goals and two assists in a 13-10 win.

Maddy Seifert, Hutchinson. The sophomore exploded for 15 points (13 goals and two assists) in Hutchinson's 18-14 triumph against Orono on April 25. Seifert scored 22 points through two contests last week, and she is second in the state with 33 goals.
