And the winner is... MN Lacrosse Hub Girls' Top Performer revealed

Athletes are considered for the weekly top performer poll only if their stats are entered on the MN Lacrosse Hub by 10 a.m. on Sundays. If coaches or members of their staffs need access to enter stats, please email mnhubs@sportngin.com.


Top Performer winner

Taiva Reinertson, Apple Valley. Twenty points in two games from Reinertson powered Apple Valley to a pair of victories last week. The sophomore tallied six goals and three assists to help the Eagles top Farmington 15-7 on April 30. She was more lethal in the next game — scoring eight goals and setting up three teammates in a 20-4 win over Eagan. Reinertson is the state's fifth-leading goal scorer with 31 this season.

Top performer candidates

Maggie Brown, Eden Prairie. Brown scored 11 points in two outings last week. Against Chanhassen on April 30, the junior tallied five goals in the No. 1 Eagles' 16-9 win. She followed up that performance with a hat trick and three assists in a 13-5 victory over Wayzata on May 2. Brown's 14 assists this season rank fourth-most in the state.

Justine Case, Centennial. Strong play in net from the junior gave Centennial added security last week. Case made 11 saves on two occasions, with her best performance coming in a 9-6 victory at Elk River on May 1. 

Claire Nelson, Minnehaha Academy. Nelson showcased an offensive arsenal in the No. 7 Redhawks' two games last week. She scored six goals and assisted on three more in a 20-0 victory over St. Croix Prep on May 2, and finished with four goals and three more assists in a 13-1 win at Eastview two days later. The freshman leads her team with 23 points this season.

Amanda Ziemkowski, Lakeville South. The senior goalie saved 31 shots in two games during Lakeville South's 3-0 run last week. Ziemkowski made 15 saves — recording a .682 save percentage — in an 11-7 win over Shakopee on May 2. Two days later in a 14-8 win over Wayzata, she repeated her good form and stopped 16 shots for a .667 save percentage.
