Boys' top games: Minnetonka looks to remain unbeaten in tilt against rival Eden Prairie

May 14: The top-ranked Skippers defeated the Eagles earlier this season and hope to grab a stranglehold of the Lake Conference title and top seed in Section 2 with another victory Tuesday.

Other games to keep an eye on

Simley vs. Tartan, 7 p.m., Wednesday, May 15. This Metro East Conference matchup sees Simley (4-4, 3-1) visit a Tartan (5-6, 3-3) team boasting one of the state's top goal scorers in sophomore attackman Breck Putzier (41 goals), who has netted 17 in his past three games.

Irondale vs. Maple Grove, 7 p.m., Friday, May 17. Maple Grove (7-1, 7-0) is coming off its first loss of the season (falling to Eden Prairie) but hasn't yet flinched in Northwest Suburban Conference play. The Crimson look to remain atop the league standings against an Irondale team (7-2, 7-1) nipping their heels in the conference title chase.
