Top Performer winner

Cayla Quade, Park of Cottage Grove. Quade led the Wolfpack with 16 points in its two victories last week. Her best performance came on May 16 when the senior scored six goals and created three assists in a 12-9 triumph over Roseville. Quade is tied for sixth in the state with 45 goals this season.

Top performer candidates

Kaylyn Cater, Chanhassen. The sophomore goalie shut down almost all of Blake's scoring chances on May 13 — keeping out 13 of 16 shots (.812 percent) in the Storm's 10-3 win. Chanhassen, ranked No. 3 in the state coaches' poll, went on to finish the week 3-0, and Cater's nine wins this season rank sixth among the state's goaltenders.

Claire Nelson, Minnehaha Academy. Two big scoring nights from the freshman led the No. 10 Redhawks to a pair of wins last week. She generated five goals and six assists in a 21-1 win over Hermantown/Proctor on May 13. Three days later, Nelson recorded six goals along with six assists in a 19-4 victory at Visitation/St. Paul Academy.

Caroline Robson, Orono. On May 13, despite falling 16-12 to Hutchinson, Robson scored on six of her eight attempts on net. She followed up two days later with five goals and three assists in an 18-12 win at Holy Family Catholic.

Isabel Sanchez, Woodbury. Sanchez totaled 24 points in three games last week. She reached 11 points (five goals and six assists) in a 23-4 win over St. Croix Prep on May 14, and she recorded six goals and an assist in a 17-12 loss to Cretin-Derham Hall two days later. The senior finished the week with four goals and a pair of assists in the Royals' 8-7 loss to White Bear Lake on May 18.

Maddy Seifert, Hutchinson. The state's leading goal scorer, with 100 goals this season, continued her dominant run — finding the net eight or more times in three of her four games last week. Seifert's best night came in a 13-8 win over Buffalo on May 14. The sophomore was involved in all 13 of her team's points, and she finished with 10 goals and three assists.
