And the winner is... MN Lacrosse Hub Girls' Top Performer revealed

Athletes are considered for the weekly top performer poll only if their stats are entered on the MN Lacrosse Hub by 10 a.m. on Sundays. If coaches or members of their staffs need access to enter stats, please email mnhubs@sportngin.com.


Top Performer winner

Meredith Parry, Stillwater. Parry registered a hat trick and a pair of assists to help the Ponies defeat Park of Cottage Grove 14-4 on May 21 and extend their winning streak to nine games. She followed that performance with six goals and two assists against Minnehaha Academy, but the it wasn't enough to maintain the run as Stillwater stumble in a 15-12 loss in the regular-season finale. 

Top performer candidates

Maggie Brown, Eden Prairie. Brown notched two hat tricks last week, including an eight-point game — four goals and four assists — in a 17-3 victory against Blake on May 23. She had a 67-point regular season and tied for ninth in the state with 22 assists.

Emily Geiss, Andover. With a 3-0 record and a .666 save percentage, the senior goalie held her defense together last week. Geiss' highlight performance was on May 22 at Robbinsdale Armstrong where she made 17 saves on 25 shots in a 15-8 victory that helped the Huskies close the regular season on a four-game winning streak.

Hannah Melander, Forest Lake. Melander helped usher in three wins in three games, including victories over White Bear Lake and Mahtomedi. She allowed just one goal and saved six of seven shots to in a 13-1 rout of the Bears on May 21, and two days later, the freshman stopped 11 shots to deflate the Zephyrs in a 9-7 win.

Grace Peterson, Mound Westonka. The sophomore twice produced six-point outings in the final three games of the White Hawks' regular season. She tallied five goals and an assist in a 20-9 defeat at Orono on May 20 before tallying six goals in a 17-12 victory over Rochester Mayo a day later. Peterson finished the regular season with 60 goals, fourth most in the state.
