Top performer winner

Myra Benson, Monticello. Benson held Becker (1-3, 1-3) scoreless in the first half in an 11-2 win for Monticello (5-0, 5-0) on April 29. She finished the game with 16 saves and a save percentage of .889.

Top performer candidates

Claire Nelson, Andover. Nelson had a hand in over half of Andover's (3-2, 3-2) goals in its 19-9 win over Elk River/Zimmerman (2-2, 2-2) on April 26. The midfielder scored five goals on six shot attempts and matched that with five assists and eight ground balls.

Lydia Kortekaas, Grand Rapids/Greenway. Kortekaas was a brick wall against Hermantown/Proctor (0-5, 0-5) on April 27, as she stopped 16 out of 17 shots faced. Her .941 save percentage took a lot of pressure off of Grand Rapids/Greenway's (3-0, 3-0) runners, as they won 9-1.

Maddy Seifert, Hutchinson. There are exactly 117 players across the state that have scored nine or more goals so far this season. Seifert accomplished that feat in one night, as she scored nine goals (and added an assist) in a 19-10 win over St. Michael-Albertville (2-5, 2-5) on April 27. The Hutchinson (4-0, 4-0) senior has scored 29 goals this season, good for fourth-best in the state.

Myra Benson, Monticello. Benson held Becker (1-3, 1-3) scoreless in the first half in an 11-2 win for Monticello (5-0, 5-0) on April 29. She finished the game with 16 saves and a save percentage of .889.

Josie Lillquist, Eden Prairie. Lillquist was good enough to beat Buffalo (1-4, 1-4) by herself on April 29, as she had 11 points in a 22-4 win for Eden Prairie (3-1, 3-1). The junior had a team-high six goals and a team-high five assists in the victory.
