Eden Prairie has been home to some of the state's best lacrosse players and that story didn't change in 2021.
Eagles attackman Will Foster was named 2021 Mr. Lacrosse by Minnesota All Sports Alliance (MASA). Foster scored 51 goals this season — tied for 11th most in the state — and also tabbed 33 assists, a mark that ties him for 10th most in the state.
The Mr. Lacrosse award is given to the "most outstanding senior lacrosse player in the state." Foster was one of seven finalists for the award, alongside Paddy Burns (Benilde-St. Margaret's), Tyr Christianson (Chanhassen), Matt Dowden (Benilde-St. Margaret's), Levi Lemke (Mahtomedi), Baker Reding (St. Thomas Academy) and Tucker Sachs (Chisago Lakes).
Foster will continue his lacrosse career next season at Marquette University.
Preachuk had a .641 save percentage this season and allowed only 6.95 goals per game. He was ninth in the state in wins with 11. Preachuk will continue his lacrosse career next season at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Mo.
