Top performer winner

Tony Vazquez, East Ridge. Vazquez has been a stalwart when it comes to faceoffs. On April 20, he won 20 of 25 faceoffs against Roseville and followed it up with a 12-of-13 performance against Park of Cottage Grove.

Top performer candidates

Layne Kology, Buffalo. It's been a dream start to the season for the junior attacker. He has 23 goals in his first four games of the season. He played three of those last week and he tallied 18 goals. His top performance of the week came on April 23 vs. Chaska when he notched nine goals in his team's 21-5 win over the Hawks.

Reese Ackerman, Rochester Mayo. Ackerman has scored goals, but against Mound Westonka on April 23, the junior attacker showed his distributing ability. He dished out seven assists as his team won 17-12.

Griffin MottLakeville North. The sophomore is on quite a roll right now when it comes to ground balls. In three games this past week, he averaged 12 ground balls per game. His most impressive performance came against Prior Lake when he finished with 17 ground balls.

Tommy Peer, Mahtomedi. Peer is one of the Zephyrs' top returners and showed why with his performance in net against the Academy of Holy Angels in the team's first game of the 2022 season. He stopped 10 of 12 shots in his team's 12-2 victory.
