Chanhassen seniors Bella Detienne and Leah Hodgins couldn’t help but let some emotion show. The duo each recorded career milestones in their last game on home turf. In fact, they were the last to set foot on that artificial surface, period.

A resurfacing project begins next week at the Chanhassen High School stadium field, a project that will extend through the postseason. That means all Section 2A playoff games for the projected top seed, Chanhassen, will be away from home.

For Detienne to score a game-high five goals en route to 100 for her career, and for Hodgins to score four goals and add an assist to surpass 200 career points, was a picture perfect way for Chanhassen (10-1) to go out in a 21-7 win over border foe Minnetonka (7-4).
