And the winner is... MN Girls' Lacrosse Hub Top Performer revealed

Athletes are considered for the weekly top performer poll only if their stats are entered on the MN Lacrosse Hub by 10 a.m. on Sundays. If coaches or members of their staffs need access to enter stats, please email scores@nbcuni.com


Top performer winner

Sally Countryman, Blake: Countryman helped Blake start the season on the right path in a 15-8 win over Farmington on April 13. The senior midfielder finished with eight points – scoring four goals and dishing out eight assists – and scooped up three ground balls in the win for the Bears, ranked No. 9 in the April 18 rankings by the Minnesota Girl's Lacrosse Coaches Association. 

Top performer candidates

Shay Swanson, Lakeville North: Swanson set a game-high in goals (six) and assists (four) while also getting three ground balls in a bounce-back win for Lakeville North on April 15. The sophomore attack and the Panthers topped 15-9 after losing 14-4 to Edina on April 13 in the season opener.

Josie Lakosky, Chaska: The midfielder kicked off her senior campaign with an 11-point performance to lead Chaska 21-12 over Shakopee on April 15. Lakosky scored a game-high seven goals, added four assists and had two ground balls. It was her first of three performances of 10 or more points in 2023.

Erika Holm, Spring Lake Park: Holm was a difference maker for Spring Lake Park on April 17, allowing only five goals on 26 shots. The performance by the senior goalie helped the Panthers beat Anoka 10-5 in their second game of the season, also giving them a win in the Northwest Suburban Conference.

Sophie Langsdale, Rochester Century: The senior attack started the season scoring more goals than Northfield, as the Panthers beat the Raiders 14-4 on April 17. Langsdale had a team-high seven goals, three assists and also scooped up two ground balls as Rochester Century got its first win of the season.
