Top performer candidates

Resse Ackerman, Rochester Mayo: Ackerman only played one game last week, but it was enough to stand out. The senior scored five goals and dished out five assists to help Rochester Mayo beat Mankato 18-6 on May 17.

Peter Foley, St. Paul/Two Rivers: Foley came up big for St. Paul/Two Rivers against Roseville on May 15, as he stopped 18 of the 26 shots he faced in the 10-8 win. Foley made 18 saves again on May 19 in a 9-6 loss to Mounds View.

Kadin Melin, Chisago Lakes: Melin dominated with five goals and four assists in a 19-0 win against Rocori on May 19. That came a day after he had four goals and two assists in a 16-6 win against Sartell/Sauk Rapids.

Joey Stolpestad, TrIMAC: In three wins last week, Stolpestad tallied 11 goals and nine assists. Last week’s production was nothing new for the senior, as he leads the state in goals (62) and points (86).

Hayden Ungs, New Prague: It was a loaded week for Ungs, as he played in four games and helped New Prague pick up four wins. In those wins, Ungs scored at least three goals in each of them, with the highlight being a five-goal, four-assist performance in a 20-1 win against Waconia on May 16.
