The ball doesn’t seem to stop whirring around the field when Lakeville South’s on possession until the rubber meets nylon in the back of the net.

Farmington rolled out a variety of defenses to try to tilt the juggernaut offense off guard, but nothing was going to impede Lakeville South in its quest for a third straight section title.

The No. 1 seed and host Cougars extended their win streak to 33 games dating back to their 2022 state championship campaign with a 20-3 win against the No. 2 seed Tigers in the Section 1 championship.
