Michael Evans has been named as the boys lacrosse coach at Apple Valley.
Evans is a graduate of Benilde-St. Margaret's and the University of Minnesota-Duluth, and he played at the Division I level at Quinnipiac University before finishing his career and degree at UMD.
Evans replaces Ben Uzlik, who resigned in December due to changes in his work schedule according to a media release.
Evans has been the offensive coordinator and assistant varsity coach for Benilde-St. Margaret’s for the past two seasons.
During that time, Benilde-St. Margaret's has won two MSHSL championships.
Evans also coached with the St. Johns University men’s club lacrosse program and was the co-head coach for the Minnesota Elite Rising Sophomore Team.
