Eden Prairie's Sammie Morton and Naomi Rogge helped pace the Eagles to their third consecutive state title, and they join teammates Hannah Brink and Kate Pearson as members of this year's Minnesota State Girls’ Lacrosse All-Tournament team.
The 12-player team is presented by Wells Fargo and the Minnesota State High School League, and was selected by a panel of coaches attending the tournament.
Morton led all scorers in the state tournament with 11 goals while Rogge, this season's Ms. Lacrosse winner, finished with seven goals and 13 points in the Eagles' three victories last week.
A steadying presence in the middle of the field, Brink recorded four assists while Pearson totaled seven ground balls.
Eden Prairie's final win of the season came against rival Blake in a rematch of last season's state championship game, thumping the Bears 16-10 in the title game.
Sophie Skallerud, who was tied for the second-most goals at state with 10, was one of four Bears named to the team.
