SAINT PAUL, Minn. The National Lacrosse League (NLL) today announced Minnesota Swarm rookie transition players Andrew Suitor and Tyler Hass have been selected to the 2011 NLL All-Rookie team.

“The entire Swarm organization is proud of the work Andrew and Tyler did this past season,” general manager Marty O’Neill said. “It's rewarding to have the league recognize their efforts and we’re all very happy for both of them.”

The All-Rookie team is also comprised of Calgary Roughnecks F Curtis Dickson, Rochester Knighthawks F Cody Jamieson, Toronto Rock F Aaron Pascas, and Boston Blazers D Kyle Rubisch.

Suitor, 22, recorded 10 points (5g, 5a), collected a team-high 108 loose balls, forced 12 turnovers, and won 74 faceoffs in 13 games. Suitor was named the Rookie of the Week in Week #13 after tallying a career-high four goals on only four shots taken in Minnesota’s 13-8 playoff clinching victory against Calgary on April 2. Minnesota drafted Suitor with the fourth overall selection in the first round of the 2010 NLL Entry Draft.

Hass, 26, notched 10 points (8g, 2a) and collected 44 loose balls in 14 games. Hass’ eight goals came on only 10 shots on goal and he managed to tally a goal in five of the Swarm’s final seven games in 2011. Minnesota selected Hass in the third round (30th overall) of the 2006 NLL Entry Draft.
