First Report

Josh Campbell fired a shot that ricocheted past Wayzata goalie Matthew Mayberry with 41 seconds left in overtime to lift Mahtomedi to a 14-13 victory Saturday afternoon at Wayzata High School.

After allowing six goals in the second quarter, the Zephyrs (3-1, 2-0) responded with a six-goal fourth quarter to force the extra session and ultimately deal the Trojans their first loss of the season. Dalton Seesz scored five goals and added two assists for Wayzata (4-1, 3-0). He scored twice and added an assist during the Trojans six-goal run in the second quarter.

Campbell netted three goals, while sophomore Colin Hagstrom and freshman E.J. Charpentier both had two goals and an assist.
