Benilde-St. Margaret's scores five unanswered third-quarter goals to beat Blake

Benilde-St. Margaret’s seniors Quinn Ehlen and Jerome Newhouse tallied three points apiece to lead the Red Knight to a 10-6 victory over Blake Tuesday night at Blake Middle School in Hopkins.

Ranked fourth in the state coaches’ poll, the Red Knights (5-0, 1-0) scored five unanswered goals in the third quarter to run away with their fifth win of the season.

Ehlen and Newhouse were held without a point in the first half before both runners tallied two goals and an assist each in the third quarter.

Levi Hlavac and Bjorn Holm both netted a pair of goals for the Bears (2-2, 1-0).

Gavin McDonough stopped 13 shots in net for Blake, while Benilde-St. Margaret’s goalie Buzz Williams made four saves.
