And the winner is... MN Lacrosse Hub's top boys' lacrosse performer revealed

Athletes are considered for the top performer poll only if their stats are entered on the MN Lacrosse Hub by 10 a.m. on Sundays. If any coaches or members of their coaching staff would like to be set up to enter stats, please email mnhubs@sportngin.com.


Fans' choice for top performer

Jason Kraus, Holy Angels: Kraus continued to assert himself as the state’s top scorer, tallying four goals and three assists in a 14-9 win against Minneapolis on April 24. He added five goals and three assists in a 12-9 victory over Orono two days later. Kraus currently leads the state with 43 points.


Top Performer candidates

Erik Iverson, Hastings: Iverson scored four goals and added two assists in an 18-7 victory over Simley on April 23.

Egan Mills, Buffalo: The junior had a monster season debut, as he tallied six goals and five assists, pushing Buffalo past Becker 17-9 on April 23.

Owen Jakel, St. Paul: Jakel, a freshman, netted five goals and added an assist in a 15-3 throttling of North St. Paul on April 23.

Cole Grindberg, Chanhassen: The Air Force prospect posted five goals and three assists to help the Storm down Blake 15-4 on April 24.

Jack VanOverbeke, Benilde-St. Margaret’s: The sophomore was a catalyst on offense, as he dished six assists and scored once in the Red Knights’ 14-2 victory over Maple Grove on April 24. VanOverbeke was also vital in his team’s 8-7 victory over Eagan on April 28. He scored two goals and dished two assists.

Jake Benson, St. Michael-Albertville: Benson scored seven goals and added an assist in St. Michael-Albertville’s dominant 23-3 victory over St. Cloud on April 26.

Talon Heath, Elk River/Zimmerman: Heath had a four-goal, three-assist outing in the Elks’ 14-4 dismantling of Anoka on April 25.

Cabe Maskevich, Shakopee: The junior assisted seven goals and scored twice, pushing Shakopee to a 17-3 win over Hopkins on April 24.

Jared Pearson, Monticello: Pearson posted five goals and four assists in Monticello’s 19-11 victory over Providence Academy on April 28.
