Wayzata's Dalton Seesz played his best against some of the teams that spent time in this season's coaches' poll.

The senior midfielder scored a combined 30 goals in regular-season matchups against teams either finishing in the final top-15 rankings (No. 2 Chanhassen, No. 5 Minnetonka, No. 6 Mahtomedi, No. 8 Lakeville North, No. 11 Eden Prairie) or that were ranked at one time (White Bear Lake and Edina).

Seesz finished the regular season fourth in the state in goals (45), and after leading the No. 7 Trojans to their third consecutive state tournament, he boasts totals of 51 goals and 18 assists.

He is also one of seven finalists for Mr. Lacrosse Award, which is given by the Minnesota Minute Men each season to the most outstanding senior boys' high school lacrosse player.

The list of finalists for Mr. Lacrosse and the Jake Anderson Mr. Goalie Award was announced on June 5. See the tables below for the names of all the finalists.

Benilde-St. Margaret's goaltender Buzz Williams is one of two finalists for Mr. Goalie, which goes to the state's top senior goaltender.

He finished the regular season tied for the third-most victories in the state (11) and had among the best goals-against average (5.42) and save percentage (.624) for goalies who played in 10 or more games this season.

In three section games, Williams had a 1.33 goals-against average and .812 save percentage, helping the Red Knights make the state tournament, where they look to win their first championship since 2011.

A panel of high school/club coaches, officials and select media members from around the state select the award winners, who will be named June 17 at a banquet at the DoubleTree Hotel in St. Louis Park starting at 2 p.m.

This event is open to the public, and tickets can be purchased at the door or online at www.minnesotaminutemen.com.

Sam Lindahl (Tartan, 2017), Luke Anderson (Lakeville North, 2016) and Connar Dehnert (White Bear Lake, 2015) are past Mr. Lacrosse winners, while the last three Mr. Goalie awards went to Jack Beran (Eastview, 2017), Chris Rolfing (Woodbury, 2016) and Aaron Peterson (Wayzata, 2015).
